Welcome to Bloom World Academy’s Early Excellence Centre, our nursery for children aged 18 months to 3 years old. Delivering the convenience of an on-site nursery and built around the philosophy of Bloom World Academy; challenging convention, respecting the individual and delivering the most equitable, fulfilling and family-first educational experience begins here.
We put children at the heart of all decisions. This includes empowering the very youngest to make choices in their learning based on their personal interests and needs, whilst immersed in environments designed for ever-evolving learning experiences. Children are engaged in guided and child-led play-based activities, with integrated enrichment activities including sensory discovery, mindfulness, dancing, yoga, sport skills and water exploration. English language development is a strong focus, securing those vital communication skills.
The Early Excellence Centre comprises of three classrooms, an indoor physical development room, a sleeping room, our Mini Bistro and outdoor play areas. Our little Bloomers also have scheduled access to learning zones in the school’s Primo area, such as the Junior Lumos Lab, paint splash room, and indoor and outdoor play areas that include water features, a rain machine, planting patches, aquaponics and much more.
By the time your children move up in Primo, they will be familiar and comfortable with the school environment and our approach to learning. We guarantee that joining Bloom World Academy and working together will be a truly unique, refreshing, and empowering experience.

Children need secure relationships to thrive, and becoming independent starts with dependence. Children at the Early Excellence Centre are allocated a ‘key person’ to create a strong bond. This enables us to cater to your child's individual needs and track their progress. You will receive daily updates on your little ones through our online learning platform and teacher conversations, ensuring you don't miss out on all those important 'firsts'.
BWA has a wonderful community. We aim to create a welcoming environment where you, as parents, benefit from involvement in the school and can build new friendships. Our onsite workshops create opportunities for you to swap stories, give advice and build your own networks across our BWA family.
A Trifold Curriculum
At Bloom World Academy we have created a curriculum for our Early Excellence Centre by weaving together the best of the expectations of the International Baccalaureate and the worldwide standards of the English Early Years Foundation curriculum. We simply call this our 'curiosity-inspired approach'.
A curiosity-inspired approach seeks to ignite our student's natural interest to explore the world around them. Instead of directing our students and telling them what to do, we encourage the children to lead their own learning. Our students make their own choices, and figure things out for themselves, with the support of our teachers, which leads to them developing enhanced confidence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Our facilities and daily schedule create rich and varied learning experiences in our various learning spaces for our students, ensuring that they have ample and rich time for play-based learning. Our structured daily routine balances adult-led and child-initiated learning, encouraging children to become confident and secure. Play enables children to deepen their learning, return to, repeat, and extend their ideas over time. In combination, adult-led sessions provide opportunities for children to develop new knowledge through subjects such as music and movement, circle and story time.
Empowering Children with Choice
Our curiosity approach encourages children to become more independent and take ownership over their learning. During the week children are given choices in their learning based on their personal interests and needs. This choice is an integral part of the BWA difference and develops over time as they progress through BWA.
Learning Zones & Facilities
Our bespoke Early Excellence Centre is a nurturing environment designed to feel like home. Your child is encouraged to take ownership of the learning spaces and develop them around their interests. Natural lighting, carefully organised furniture and open-ended resources create a welcoming environment in which your child will feel safe and comfortable to explore and develop.
Our purpose-built physical development room and outdoor play areas provide opportunities for your child to be a risk-taker (a key attribute of the IB Learner Profile), and to learn through trial and error. Here, students develop to meet important physical milestones by learning self-awareness and how to interact with objects and others in the space around them, in a safe and warm environment.
Daily routines are essential for young children to thrive. Our nursery schedule dedicates time to developing children’s healthy eating habits and manners in our Mini Bistro, designed exclusively for our Early Excellence Centre students, along with a comfortable and cosy sleep room where our students can take rest, with timings which are formed around your child’s age and developmental milestones.
A Flexible School Day
Children at the Early Excellence Centre have the same benefits as all BWA students, including access to game-changing ‘firsts’ in the UAE. These include a later start and flexibility in each child’s timetable. This customisation and flexibility is one of the hallmarks of BWA and this flexibility has been extended down to its youngest learners. This approach is driven by BWAs desire to support its community, balancing care, and learning with family life.
Timing Options:
There are three options to choose from, featuring flexible pick up and drop off timings.
• Option 1: 8:00am – 12:00pm
• Option 2: 8:00am – 2:00pm
• Option 3: 8:00am – 5:00pm
o Flexible drop off between 8:00 – 9:00am
o Flexible pick up between 4:00 – 5:00pm
Preparing Your Child
We recognise and understand that starting the Early Excellence Centre is a big step for every child and their parents. Some children settle within the first visit, and others may need time and patient support to feel safe in their new environment.
The Early Excellence Centre operates a customised approach to the ‘settling in’ period to support our children with this important milestone. This includes playdates in the nursery and Learning Achievement Passport meetings, when families meet their child's 'key person' before their first day. Our flexible, customised approach means we can take the first few weeks of nursery at the child's own pace, ensuring that they are set up for a positive and successful year.

Food
At BWA, we work closely with our preferred food provider, Ben’s Farmhouse. Ben's has been working at BWA since January 2023 and currently run our community café as well as our two bistros. Ben’s Farmhouse also run's our Mini Bistro for the Early Excellence Centre, providing our students with nutritious, ethically sourced, and balanced options.
Transition to School
We offer priority placements into ‘our big school’ ensuring a smooth and successful transition to more formal schooling once your child moves from the Early Excellence Centre to Pre-KG, avoiding a second settling in period.
