Kate Opie is a highly experienced Early Years Educator and leader who grew up in a small village in East Yorkshire, England. Kate pursued her career in education from an early age as a school leaver and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (BA Hons) degree in Early Years and Education Studies at Leeds Trinity University in 2015. She later completed her Postgraduate Degree in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordination in 2023, Kate is passionate about inclusivity. 

Kate has 14 years experience of working within and managing a number of outstanding early years settings in the UK, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and holds high standards in providing rich learning opportunities and experiences that allow children to flourish. 

Kate is passionate about providing a warm, welcoming and enriching environment that nurtures children in the earliest years of their educational journey, developing and fostering a lifelong love of learning. In the classroom, Kate is devoted to creating and enhancing areas of learning that support children’s interests and reflect their experiences, placing emphasis on encouraging independence through choice and inquiry-based learning. 

Kate takes pride in creating a child centred approach and she enjoys working together with parents and families to secure the best outcomes for all children.

Outside of school, Kate enjoys fitness and days out; she loves to spend time with her young family, enjoying new experiences and making memories together. 

Kate looks forward to welcoming our youngest students to BWA on the start of their exciting educational journey. 

Leanne Dawney is from Wales in the United Kingdom and joins the school as an Early Excellence Centre (EEC) teacher. She graduated with a BA in Primary Education Studies from University of Wales Trinity Saint David, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Master of Science Psychology in Education from Cardiff Metropolitan University. With over five years of experience with the Early Years within schools and nurseries, she is a passionate individual and looks forward to her new adventure with Bloom World Academy.

Leanne believes that learning should be an experience for children which engages their curiosity and interests to allow them to develop their own ideas and extend them over time. She creates a learning environment where children are always placed at the centre and are encouraged and nurtured. 

Leanne enjoys travelling, reading, playing guitar and spending time with her family and friends. 

Amy is originally from Cheshire, United Kingdom, and has over 12 years of experience as an Early Years teacher. Outside the classroom, she enjoys long beach walks, exploring new areas, and discovering unique coffee shops with friends. She is also dedicated to fostering animals in need.

Her journey in Early Years Education began in 2007 with a CACHE Diploma in Child Education, which ignited her passion for working with children. She later earned a first-class BA (Hons) in Primary Education from the University of Cumbria in 2012. Amy has taught in schools across the UK, Germany, and Abu Dhabi, holding leadership roles in Early Years, Phonics/Early Reading, and managing a small EAL team.

Committed to creating a warm, inclusive Early Years atmosphere, Amy ensures every child feels valued and respected. She invests time in making the learning environment reflect her student's diverse needs and personal interests, promoting their independence. Passionate about play-based IB learning, she utilises real-life objects to foster engagement. Amy strives to ensure that every child thrives at BWA, celebrating diversity and supporting each child’s unique journey.

Sarah Moat is an experienced British primary school teacher with a teaching career spanning over 26 years. She completed her teaching degree at the University of Sunderland in the North East of England and then went on to study a Post Graduate Certificate specialising in Early Years Education (The Foundation Stage) at the University of Teesside. Sarah moved to Dubai in August 2019 with her husband and children, and has been teaching in international schools since October 2020. 

She has taught in all year groups of the primary age range both in the UK and in the UAE, with the majority of her experience in teaching children between the ages of 3 and 7 years old. Sarah has a passion for teaching young children and enabling them to develop to the best of their ability, through both adult led activities and purposeful play based learning. She believes that strong relationships are at the core of successful teaching, between both staff and students, and school and home. 

Since arriving in Dubai, Sarah and her family completed the PADI open water scuba diving qualification and she enjoys diving days with them in Fujairah. She is also a keen follower of football, in particular her hometown team of Middlesbrough FC and is an avid reader of detective novels. 

Jordan Wilson is a highly experienced educator and leader from the United States of America, with over 13 years of teaching experience across the Primary ages. Her roles have included classroom LA, head inclusion teacher, homeroom teacher, and head teacher. She pursued her academic journey with a master’s degree in education sub specializing in multilingual learners, from Arizona State University (USA). 

Having taught both the United States Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate in both the USA and UAE, she is a dedicated advocate of the inquiry-based Primary Years Programme (PYP). Her teaching philosophy is anchored in the belief that every child is a capable and a unique learner. Through the PYP framework, she aims to cultivate inquisitive minds, critical thinkers, and compassionate students who are eager to explore the world around them. 

In 2017, Jordan moved to the UAE and has enjoyed making it her home away from home with her cats. In her spare time, she paints, bake sweets, and spend time outdoors as much as possible. Jordan is also an avid traveler with 41 countries and counting believing that education extends beyond the classroom walls and into the vast experiences of the world. 

Leslie-Anne McClune is an experienced educator from Cape Town, South Africa, with over 11 years teaching experience within Early Years. 

Leslie-Anne graduated with a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Development: Foundation Phase) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Learner Support from the University of South Africa. 

Having taught in South Africa, Dubai and China, Leslie-Anne is passionate about creating an inclusive, diverse classroom environment where learners feel safe and encouraged to participate and experience success; setting in motion a natural love of learning.  

Her classroom provisions are always rich with opportunity for learners to gain personalised and meaningful experiences, where student voice and choice motivate her lesson planning. Learners are encouraged to ask question, think critically and engage in problem-solving activities.

Leslie-Anne enjoys spending time with her husband and son, who enjoy traveling, engaging with and learning from different cultures. She enjoys hiking, running and tennis. 

Leslie-Anne is looking forward to adding value into the lives of the children in her classroom, their families and the wider school community.

Sara Telfer is a primary teacher from Edinburgh, Scotland. Sara began working in the Early Years in 2016 when she was awarded a Higher National Certificate in Early Education after working in nursery and undertaking a professional inquiry. During this time, Sara learned about the Reggio Emilia and Montessori theories which ignited her interest in the curiosity approach that she enjoys incorporating into her Early Years classroom.

Sara studied at the University of Glasgow in Scotland where she was awarded a MA (Hons) Degree in Primary Education. After completing her university studies, Sara taught the Scottish Curriculum for Excellence to Primary 1 classes. She has a passion for play based learning that promotes self- exploration and discovery through child- led learning experiences. 

Sara has a keen interest in the Expressive Arts and embraces activities that require creativity and imagination. Growing up she studied Drama and Ballet and throughout her 13 years of training she obtained many Royal Academy of Dance certificates.

Sara moved to Dubai in August 2022 and worked in a British school following the English National Curriculum. She is looking forward to her future teaching career in Dubai and is delighted to join Bloom World Academy and learn more about the IB Curriculum. 

Sara creates a nurturing and inclusive classroom where learners are encouraged to believe in themselves and never give up. As Roald Dahl said, “Somewhere inside all of us is the power to change the world” and Sara believes the Early Years sets the foundation for children to develop a love for learning and flourish into future world changers.

Hannah McAllister brings a wealth of experience and leadership to her role as an educator, she is from Ireland with a decade of teaching experience across Primary ages. She holds a Bachelor of Education (BA) from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland and has taught both the British National Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (IB). 

Hannah is particularly enthusiastic about the inquiry-based Primary Years Programme (PYP), believing it empowers students through international-mindedness and independent inquiry, fostering real-world connections and actionable learning outcomes.

Dedicated to ongoing professional growth, Hannah actively participates in professional development opportunities to ensure she delivers outstanding education tailored to each child's needs. Since relocating to the UAE in 2019, she has taught at two international schools, where her focus on Early Years education has flourished. Hannah has not only led Early Years teams but also pursued professional development courses to enhance her skills and support her colleagues in delivering high-quality education.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Hannah is very passionate about sports and fitness, enjoying activities such as running, CrossFit, wake surfing, hiking, and spending time outdoors. Her interests extend to exploring different cultures and traveling the world, reflecting her broader passion for learning, and understanding diverse perspectives.

Aimee Jane Byrne is a highly experienced educator and leader from Ireland, with over eight years of teaching experience across the Early Years ages 0-6. She graduated from Portobello College in Ireland with a Montessori Diploma and then went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Early Education with London Metropolitan University, UK. Aimee has worked in many Early Years Settings in both Ireland and Scotland. She has a wealth of knowledge in children's development and thrives on making learning as interactive and fulfilling for the children. She enjoys adopting a play-based approach while also incorporating curriculums and standards to her practice. 

Aimee is passionate about children’s wellbeing and health and incorporates this into her practice. As a qualified Children’s yoga instructor she enjoys teaching the children the art of mindfulness and stretching to help calm the mind and uses this daily in the classroom. 

Aimee moved to Dubai in June 2024 with her partner and is excited to explore Dubai and experience a new way of living. She enjoys an active lifestyle and enjoys activities such as – running, weightlifting and coffee walks! In addition to this, Aimee is looking forward to trying some new activities in Dubai and is excited to take full advantage of the nicer climate.

With a degree in Primary Education and a Master degree in Education and over seven years of teaching experience, my passion for nurturing young minds and fostering a love of learning shines through in everything I do.

I believe that the early years of education are a magical time of exploration and growth. In our classroom, we create a vibrant, supportive environment where children feel safe to express themselves, ask questions, and embark on new adventures. My teaching philosophy centers around making learning fun and meaningful through hands-on activities, storytelling, and interactive play. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the wonders of the UAE, and indulging in a good book. 

Sinead Dunleavy is an accomplished Early Years and Primary Classroom Teacher with a Bachelor of Education degree from Mary Immaculate College, Ireland. With over a decade of teaching experience, Sinead has worked in diverse educational settings across Ireland, UAE, Vietnam, Singapore and Luxembourg.

Throughout her career, Sinead has demonstrated excellence in creating innovative, child-centered learning environments. She is particularly skilled in implementing play-based approaches and stimulating curiosity-driven learning. Her experience spans various age groups, from Nursery to Year 6, with a strong focus on early years education in recent roles.

Sinead is passionate about inclusive education and has completed specialised training in supporting children with special educational needs. She actively participates in school life beyond the classroom, having been involved in extracurricular activities, house leadership, and charity initiatives.

Outside of teaching, Sinead is very passionate about hiking and the outdoors. She loves travelling and has visited over 70 countries, experiences which enrich her teaching and global perspective. Sinead is excited to join Bloom World Academy and return to teaching in Dubai, where she looks forward to contributing her diverse international experience to the school community.

Madison Holt has been a teacher for seven years. She is originally from England, in a small town called Accrington, but attended Manchester Metropolitan University where she got her Primary Teaching Degree with QTS. 

She has taught in both British and International schools with most of her teaching being within KG1 and KG2. Phonics is her passion, and she loves to always have her trusty friend Fred the Frog with her! 

Madison loves teaching here in Dubai as one of her favourite things to do is have a desert BBQ or spend the day at the beach (and beach days in England require an umbrella!). She can’t wait to develop together with her students and watch them all grow in confidence, friendships and character. Inside the classroom, all she ever asks is that her students are trying their best, and she promises she will do the same.

Rosemarie Whitney is an experienced and respected educator from Toronto,Canada. She has 14 years of teaching experience with Primary/Junior and special needs students. Rosemarie completed her educational experience in Canada with a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Anthropology, a Bachelor of Education degree in primary/Junior education and additional qualifications in Special Education. 

She has taught the International Baccalaureate curriculum, International Primary curriculum, International Early Years curriculum, Ontario Curriculum, and the National American curriculum in a variety of countries, such as Canada, Kuwait and Qatar. She has also been an inclusion specialist, Literacy support specialist and special educational needs teacher in primary years education. 

Rosemarie is dedicated and passionate about supporting student learning through a nurturing approach with innovative practices for student learning and exploration. Her knowledge in special education allows for a holistic approach to students' learning, in order for students to showcase their individual talents, while making sure their individual educational needs are being met. 

Rosemarie is accompanied by her son and husband. She enjoys exploring a variety of cuisines, while cooking and baking various recipes herself. She loves arts and crafts and spending time with friends and family. 

Beth Hickey is a dedicated educator from Ireland with a rich background in teaching and a passion for fostering student growth and development. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science degree (BA) from University College Dublin, and a Master of Education - Primary (MA) from Hibernia College, Ireland. Beth moved to the UAE in 2021 and has been teaching Year 1 children for the past three years. Prior to her tenure in the UAE, Beth gained valuable experience as a learning support teacher in Ireland, where she worked diligently to provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs.

Her experience includes serving as a subject lead for English and Phonics. She has a deep care and understanding of the importance of early literacy development, ensuring to effectively nurture young learners' foundational skills and foster a lifelong love for reading and learning.

In her spare time, Beth enjoys reading and various outdoor activities such as walking and hiking. She has a keen interest in exploring different cultures and countries, bringing a global outlook to her classroom. Beth is committed to working collaboratively with parents and students to ensure that every child reaches their full potential. She believes that, together, they can create a supportive and enriching educational journey for all students.

Nadia Everson was born and raised in the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa. She holds a bachelor’s in education, which has been the foundation of her teaching career that began in 2016. Nadia's journey as an educator has taken her across the globe, with enriching experiences in Thailand, Bahrain, and Russia, and in 2022 Nadia moved to Dubai.

Throughout her career, Nadia has been passionate about creating dynamic and inclusive learning environments. One of her biggest passions outside the classroom is Latin-style dancing. Another of Nadia’s passions is anything and everything to do with nature! She is a lover of animals, and a safari trip in South Africa ranks as one of her favourite activities when going home.

As she joins the Bloom community, Nadia is excited to be part of a team who look at the education system through a different lens. To her future students and parents, Nadia is looking forward to meeting everyone and starting to build a relationship that will support the learning of the student and make for a great year together.

Ellen White is an experienced educator from Ireland with a diverse background in teaching both in her home country and Dubai. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree from Marino Institute of Education in Dublin, Ireland. Upon completing her degree, Ellen taught in various classroom contexts in Ireland, gaining invaluable experience. Seeking to broaden her horizons, she moved to Dubai to further develop her teaching practice and gain international experience.

During her time in Dubai, Ellen has worked as an Assistant Head of Lower School. While she has thoroughly enjoyed the role, her passion lies in teaching and connecting with students in the classroom. Ellen believes that cultivating happiness among students enhances their engagement, motivation, and eagerness to learn. She emphasises that a positive mindset not only makes students more receptive to new ideas but also improves their ability to retain information. She prioritises creating a supportive and joyful learning atmosphere as pivotal to nurturing successful learners.

Ellen enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to the beach, and taking part in yoga classes. Alongside her enthusiasm for education, she is keen on traveling and discovering various cultures. 

Catherine Williams is an enthusiastic, inspiring, effective and passionate teacher who believes every child should have the opportunity to become ‘confident for life’ resilient learners. Her belief is that children should be given the chance to keep discovering and asking questions about their learning and the wider world. 

Catherine graduated with a BA degree in science from the University of Aberystwyth and then completed her PGCE with the University of Sunderland. Catherines’ nine years of UAE teaching experience has enabled young children to come to school every day eager to learn in a fun, safe environment by being encouraged to take risks in their learning. She is passionate about each child being given the skills to learn and progress in their learning, ensuring their ideas and opinions are valued. Catherine is originally from South Wales and worked as a research scientist in Cambridge before entering teaching with a passion to bring science alive by sparking curiosity in the classroom. She has extended this passion by leading science in the primo and junior school. 

Catherine is a founding teacher of Bloom World Academy and is thrilled to be returning for her third academic year. She is joined in Dubai by her husband and 2 teenage sons. Catherine enjoys supporting her sons in rugby and surfing activities.

Ruth Johnston has over 10 years of teaching experience in all stages of the primary school and is from Scotland, United Kingdom. She graduated with a Bachelor of Primary Education Degree and went on to further her education completing Masters Postgraduate Certificates in Middle Leadership at University of Dundee. In addition to classroom teaching, Ruth has a range of leadership experiences including substantive posts as Principal Teacher and Depute Head Teacher. 

Ruth prioritises creating positive relationships to support the holistic development of all children and recognises the importance of nurturing these with both learners and their families. She is passionate about using digital tools to enhance learning experiences and supporting children to develop skills for learning, life and work. Ruth strives to promote an inclusive classroom where diversity and uniqueness are celebrated, empowering all children to be 'first, best and different'. 

She moved to the UAE in August 2024 with her husband and two young children. Outside of work she enjoys spending quality time with her son and daughter, creating digital content and fitness classes. Ruth is looking forward to travelling more and seizing all the new opportunities that the UAE has to offer. 

Siobhan Buckley is a teacher from a small village in County Limerick in Ireland. Prior to working as a primary school teacher, Siobhan graduated from the National University of Ireland, Galway with a BA Hons in Sociology and Psychological Science and worked as an English Language lecturer in Dublin. Upon pursuing her Master of Education (Primary) in Ireland, she worked in Dublin as a primary school teacher before joining Bloom World Academy in 2023 as a PYP Grade 2 Homeroom Teacher.

Siobhan believes in learning which is purposeful, authentic and inspired by genuine curiosity and interest. She has a keen interest in sport, keeping active, art and music; and endeavours to create a learning environment filled with wonder, calm and potential.

Rachel Smith is a primary teacher who received her education from Ireland. She graduated with a Bachelor of Education from Trinity College in Dublin. She is a founding teacher in BWA and has loved being here from the beginning of our learning journey. Rachel has a passion for education and takes pride in delivering tailored learning experiences for the students in her class.

Her classroom is a creative and dynamic learning environment in which each child has the opportunity to blossom and grow at their own pace. She has a passion for yoga, sport and music and believes every child should have the opportunity to share and grow their passions in the classroom. Rachel bases her teaching philosophy on endorsing kindness and inclusivity in every classroom.

She emphasises the importance of treating all as equals and fosters a warm and kind learning environment in which each child feels safe and valued. As Aristotle said, "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all". She loves the community we have grown in BWA and meeting her students from all around the world.

James studied Accounting and Taxation at university but after experiencing and enjoying teaching, he decided to complete his PGCE at Leeds Beckett University and take a route into primary teaching. He is currently working towards completing his MA in education and has completed his dissertation in international mindedness. He taught at a primary school in Japan for six years, and in Qatar for two years.

“Teaching is the profession that teaches all professions”. James thoroughly enjoys teaching, and his lessons are enthused with his passion. He transfers his ethos into the classroom by harnessing and motivating all students to learn in their own way, by encouraging them to aspire to be anything they want to be.

James is an avid traveler, he loves to explore and encounter new experiences having traveled to over 50 countries. He loves most sports, whether it is watching or playing, and was lucky to be able to attend the rugby world cup in Japan and then the football world cup in Qatar.

Labhaoise McGreal is an experienced educator from Galway, Ireland. She graduated from National University of Ireland, Galway in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree and earned a Master’s in Education from Hibernia College Dublin in 2019. Labhaoise has dedicated the past five years to teaching in large schools across Dublin, where she is known for her inclusive and mindful approach to education.

Ms.McGreal's classroom is a supportive and engaging space where each student has the opportunity to thrive at their own pace. Her teaching philosophy emphasizes mindfulness and inclusivity, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported. She believes in creating a learning environment that nurtures both academic and personal growth.

Outside the classroom, Labhaoise has a deep connection to nature and enjoys activities such as yoga, hiking and sea-swimming. She believes these pursuits enhance her well-being and enrich her teaching practice. Labhaoise is also passionate about travel and experiencing new cultures, which broadens her perspective and informs her approach to teaching.

Ms.McGreal's dedication to fostering inclusive education and her holistic approach to teaching make her a significant influence in the field. She is excited to continue guiding her students’ learning journeys, helping them grow into well-rounded individuals who are prepared for all aspects of life.

Georgia Bryan is an experienced and dedicated primary school teacher with a passion for nurturing young minds. Originally from the UK, she holds a BA degree in Primary Education from the University of Brighton. Georgia has amassed six years of teaching experience, with four years in the UK and an enriching two-years in the UAE. She is well-versed in delivering the British National Curriculum, ensuring a comprehensive and engaging learning environment for all.

Outside of the classroom, Georgia enjoys spending her time reading, outside in nature and travelling, which she often integrates into her teaching to broaden students' horizons. Her dedication to keeping active reflects in her dynamic approach to education, fostering both academic growth and personal development among her students.

Georgia is thrilled to be part of the school community and looks forward to continuing to inspire and empower her students to achieve their full potential.

Aine Ryan is an Irish teacher who has been living and working in the Middle East for nine years. She has teaching experience in international schools in both UAE and Qatar.  

Miss Ryan began her studies in Ireland and started her career by working in project schools with young students, and thereafter moved to UAE to pursue some travel and further her horizons.  She later worked in an IB international school in Qatar for three years before returning to UAE to work in a British Curriculum and IPC International school. 

 
She is an avid travel and sport enthusiast with a passion for exploring the world and its’ cultures.  

Ciarán McManamon, an Irish national, brings a wealth of educational experience to his role as a teacher in Dubai, where he has been dedicated to enriching young minds for the past two years at a prominent private school. 

Having qualified in 2019, with a Level 8 Honours Bachelor of Education degree from Mary Immaculate College, Ireland, Ciaran has five years teaching experience to date in international settings. Prior to his tenure in Dubai, Ciarán spent three years in Ireland, distinguishing himself as both an Irish language educator and an English as an Additional Language (EAL) teacher in primary education.

With a multifaceted background, Ciarán's passions extend beyond the classroom. He holds a keen interest in sports, nurturing young talents across all sports and exercise, and fostering a love for music and STREAM subjects among his students. 

Ciaran believes in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students can explore their interests and achieve their full potential.

His dedication to holistic education and fostering a love for learning resonates in his teaching philosophy, making him a trusted mentor and educator among students and parents alike.

Paige Ciebrant earned her Higher National Certificate in Early Education from Dundee College and went on to receive a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland. She firmly believes that the best things in life come when you least expect them, and her continued teaching journey in the United Arab Emirates has reinforced this belief. Paige's passion for teaching began at a young age, and she is dedicated to delivering a meaningful and supportive approach, ensuring each student she works with receives the individual care and nurturing they need.

Outside of her teaching career, Paige is deeply family and friend-oriented. She enjoys engaging in fun and adventurous activities that create lasting memories. This personal philosophy carries over into her professional life, where she strives to provide learning experiences that not only help students reach their full potential but also leave them with joyful, memorable moments.

Paige believes that every child should have the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas. In her classroom, students are encouraged to take on different challenges that match their individual learning needs. Paige ensures that there are plenty of choices available, so each student can find activities that interest them and help them grow. She strives to make learning both fun and meaningful, supporting everyone in their own unique journey.

Morven Anderson is an experienced primary teacher born in Scotland, United Kingdom. She has been a primary teacher for five years and graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a four-year, BA Hons undergraduate primary teaching degree.  

Morven has lived in Dubai for four years, and thoroughly enjoys all of the exciting and innovative opportunities that it has to offer. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the outdoors and regularly discovering the incredible hiking trails around the UAE. Furthermore, she enjoys relaxing by reading books around Dubai’s beautiful beaches as well as socialising with friends on walks and exercise classes.  

As a passionate and enthusiastic teacher, she aims to inspire hope, ignite the imagination and instill a love of learning amongst all students.  

With a Bachelor of Education and many years of teaching experience, Stéphie is a dedicated educator and a founding teacher at Bloom World Academy, where she has taught Grade 4 for the past two years. Her diverse teaching background includes not only being a homeroom teacher but also instructing in sports, dance, and languages, making her highly adaptable to various learning styles and contexts.

Originally from Mauritius, Stéphie moved to Australia as a young teenager and is fluent in English, French and Mauritian Creole. In 2022, she relocated to Dubai, where she continues to bring her passion for education to life. Stéphie is committed to creating a positive and inclusive environment where students are encouraged to learn, be happy, and feel supported, regardless of their individual needs or backgrounds. Her enthusiastic and collaborative approach allows her to build strong relationships with students, parents, and the wider community.

Amy O'Donnell is an experienced educator from England, with 18 years of teaching experience across the Primary ages. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management (BA) from University of Wales, Cardiff, a Postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE) from Northampton University, UK, and a Masters of Arts in Education (MA) from Open University, UK. Having taught both the English National Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate in various countries, including the UK, Thailand, Colombia, and the UAE, she is a passionate advocate of the inquiry-based Primary Years Programme (PYP). 

Amy believes that PYP's emphasis on international-mindedness and independent inquiry empowers students to make connections to the real world and take action based on their learning. With a Master's Degree in Education, she continually explores ways to improve her teaching practice and plan personalised learning experiences that engage and enthuse her students. 

In 2015, Amy moved with her husband to the UAE and has since had two daughters. She enjoys spending time in the outdoors and engaging in activities such as hiking, paddle boarding, and long-distance running. In addition to her passion for education, Amy is interested in exploring the world and learning about different cultures. 

Amy is a dedicated and passionate teacher with six years of experience. She grew up in the beautiful countryside of Southwest England and completed her teacher training at Plymouth Marjon University. After teaching in London and Somerset, Amy moved to Dubai last year to further develop her teaching career in a new cultural environment.

Amy's classroom is a creative and dynamic space where each child is encouraged to grow at their own pace. She believes in the importance of kindness and inclusivity, ensuring that every student feels valued and supported. With a passion for yoga, sports, dance and music, Amy incorporates these interests into her teaching, helping students explore and develop their own passions.

She is a strong advocate for the PYP’s emphasis on international-mindedness and independent inquiry, empowering students to connect their learning to the real world and take meaningful action. Amy believes that every child deserves a champion—someone who will never give up on them and who will help them reach their full potential.

Outside the classroom, Amy loves to travel, hike and paddleboard. She brings this sense of adventure and curiosity into her teaching, inspiring her students to be open-minded and eager to explore new ideas. Amy is committed to creating a warm, inclusive environment where every child can thrive.

Niamh Laverty joined the Bloom World Academy team last year from her home country of Ireland. After graduating with a BA Hons Degree in English and Drama from Queen’s University Belfast, Niamh went on to complete the Primary PGCE in Ulster University, following her vocation of becoming a teacher.

Since then, Niamh has gained a wealth of teaching experience, in Ireland, Australia and in the UAE. In her most recent position, Niamh was ICT co-ordinator and she has a passion for incorporating ICT in the classroom and is a qualified Apple Teacher and Seesaw Pioneer. 

Niamh endeavours to help every child in her class develop academically, socially and emotionally and aims to equip them with the skills to become life-long learners.  

George Nagle is a primary school teacher from Sydney, Australia, with four years teaching experience across the Primary ages. He graduated from the University of Sydney with a Bachelor of Education (Primary). Since beginning his teaching career, he has taught both the National Australian Curriculum, as well as the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (PYP). 

George believes the PYP's international focus suitably equips students for challenges they may encounter in their future years. Making connections to lived experiences allows students to transfer their knowledge and apply it to their everyday lives, long after leaving the classroom.

George taught for a year in the United Kingdom before returning to Australia, and is taking his teaching career abroad once more. He enjoys playing, watching, and coaching a wide range of sports, as well as spending time outside keeping fit and healthy. Alongside teaching, George enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as visiting new countries and embracing new cultures. 

Noha Khalifa, hailing from Egypt, brings 15 years of expertise as an Arabic language educator, having taught in international schools across Egypt and the UAE. Armed with a Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language and Islamic Sciences from Cairo University, complemented by an educational diploma and pre-master degree from Cairo University, Noha is deeply committed to the transformative power of education.

Believing in the timeless wisdom of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Noha champions a progressive approach to teaching, emphasizing the pivotal role of education in shaping a brighter future. She fosters a nurturing environment in her classroom, employing a blend of encouragement and positive reinforcement to inspire her students to unlock their full potential.

At the heart of Noha's philosophy lies the conviction that education is the cornerstone of personal and societal advancement. Since moving to the UAE with her husband in 2013, Noha, a mother of three boys, has found joy in diverse pursuits beyond her dedication to education. These include reading, staying abreast of current events, indulging in television programs, and exploring new destinations through travel.

Marwa Amer is a highly experienced educator from Egypt, with more than 10 years of teaching experience in Dubai and outside the U.A.E. She graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering from Egypt, and a postgraduate certificate in Technology from Egypt. She worked as an Arabic B teacher in California, Bahrain, and Dubai. She has KHDA approval in teaching Arabic B and holds a Professional Diploma in Education for Teachers of Arabic Language to non-native speakers. Also holding MOE license. 

Marwa values a holistic approach to education and aims to provide all children in her classroom with not only great academic outcomes but also a positive and happy outlook on their education. She believes that when a pupil’s wellbeing is nurtured, they gain the key skills to become life-long learners and achieve anything they set their mind to.

Marwa is an enthusiastic, caring, and passionate person with a love of learning. Her creative techniques in teaching non-Arab natives were a remarkable success among her students and appreciated by her management. 

Marwa was born in Dubai, and she came back again in 2016 with her family. She loves skating and swimming. Also traveling to explore the world.  

Mohammed is a highly skilled Arabic language educator with over a decade of teaching experience and a degree in Arabic from Tanta University, Egypt. His expertise spans a diverse range of learners, including adult students, where he excels in customizing lessons to meet varied learning preferences. Having taught within the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) program, Mohammed consistently empowers his students to excel, guiding them to meet the highest academic standards.

Renowned for creating vibrant and immersive classroom experiences, Mohammed’s approach goes beyond language instruction. Mona Ahmed is an accomplished Arabic B Teacher with a robust background in science, having graduated from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 2016 in Egypt. Over the past eight years, she has dedicated her career to education, teaching at renowned schools in Dubai and Sharjah. Mona's unique blend of scientific knowledge and teaching expertise allows her to deliver engaging and effective Arabic language lessons to her students.

Her journey in education began shortly after her graduation, where she discovered a passion for teaching and a talent for making complex concepts accessible to learners of all levels. Mona's scientific training has equipped her with a methodical approach to lesson planning and a deep understanding of the learning process, which she skillfully applies to her language instruction.

Sara Ghazal is an experienced Arabic B teacher with a strong educational background. Shirin Aldandan is a dedicated educator from Syria with six years of teaching experience in both her home country and Dubai. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Literature and its Arts from Damascus University. With experience teaching learners from various cultural backgrounds and age groups, she has been approved by the KHDA to teach Arabic B (for non-native speakers) in British schools since 2017.

Shirin is passionate about fostering an engaging and interactive learning environment. She believes in providing the best possible educational experience through fun and dynamic activities that cater to students' diverse needs and backgrounds.

Beyond her professional life, Shirin enjoys spending quality time with her family, including her three children, and exploring the scenic green and desert areas around the UAE during the cooler months. She has a keen interest in reading Arabic poetry and novels, and she also enjoys cooking.

Shirin looks forward to collaborating with her colleagues at our school to enhance the learning journey for all students. She is eager to share her love for the Arabic language and culture, helping students develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for both.

Amarjit Lall is a highly experienced educator and previous leader in education from England, with over 30 years of teaching experience across the Early years and Primary. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Youth and Childhood studies from the Open university, as well as a Montessorri teaching degree and Qualified Teacher Status licence from the UK. Having taught both the English National Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate in various countries, including the UK, Germany, and the UAE, she is a passionate advocate of the inquiry-based Primary Years Programme (PYP). 

Amarjit believes that PYP's emphasis on international-mindedness and independent inquiry baised learning empowers students to make connections to the real world and take action based on their learning. Engaging in continoius training courses to further develop her subject knowledge such as the Role of the Art teacher in the PYP and catogory 3 /4 courses in Bilingualism. Amarjit endevours to stay current and relevant in her subject knowledge embarking on a digital arts course.

In 2005, Amarjit moved with her husband to the UAE having worked in an international school in Germany for 8 years. As a mother of two adult daughters, she enjoys spending time with them when possible, painting and engaging in the Arts.  In addition to her passion for education, Amarjit is interested in exploring the world, learning about different cultures, food, music and generally enjoys traveling.

Kholoud is a professionally qualified bilingual educator with over fourteen years of experience. An artist by education, she holds an MA in Secondary Education and leadership with honours from the American University in Dubai (AUD). She began her educational career as a teacher in Dubai, later becoming an Innovation and Creative Arts Lead across schools in the city.

Kholoud has worked with prestigious institutions, including Harvard University’s Project Zero, NASA, the Australian government, and the UAE government. She also serves on an advisory council for the AUD School of Education. Her passion for education, combined with her interpersonal qualities and skills, has enabled her to make a positive impact in every institution she has worked with.

Nicholas Kilty is a highly experienced educator with nearly two decades of expertise in leading Design and Technology and vocational courses. He holds an Honours degree in Product Design and a PGCE with QTS in Design and Technology from Liverpool John Moores University. Throughout his career, Nicholas has taken on various leadership roles, including overseeing the implementation and delivery of the BTEC suite of subjects as the Head of Vocational Programmes.

Nicholas is passionate about creating seamless vocational experiences and opportunities for students, particularly those enrolled in the IBCP program at the Nexus Centre. Known for his dedication to his profession and his commitment to student success, Nicholas is eager to inspire the next generation of learners.

Outside of his professional life, Nicholas values time spent with his family and enjoys exploring his interests in Design and Technology. Overall, he is a respected leader and educator who is deeply committed to making a positive impact on his students and the broader educational community.

Isabella Sivori is a performing arts practitioner from Manchester, England. She graduated from Drama School with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Acting (BA) from The Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, UK, and obtained a Postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE) from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK.

Isabella is a passionate and engaging teacher, she provides students with a supportive and creative environment which enables them to be hard working and conscientious learners.

Isabella believes all students should experience a diverse curriculum, with drama classes playing an integral part in young peoples’ confidence and development of emotional intelligence. She believes drama empowers students to have a voice in the world today and what it takes to succeed creatively.  

During her time outside of school, Isabella enjoys relaxing in the sunshine, spending time with family and friends and is excited to travel. 

Alice Coburn, a British national, holds a BA Hons degree and QTS in English. With a versatile teaching background, Alice has taught children aged 3 to 18 in English and Performing Arts. Her extensive experience is complemented by her diverse passions, including health and fitness—she previously owned a fitness facility in the UK—and acting for both stage and screen, having performed professionally in shows and on television.

Recently relocated to the UAE, Alice is excited to join Bloom World Academy. She looks forward to introducing fresh, innovative ideas and progressive teaching methods, to help the next generation thrive in a rapidly evolving world filled with diverse opportunity. Outside of her professional life, Alice enjoys spending quality time with her two children. Alice is committed to fostering an engaging and dynamic learning environment where students can reach their full potential.

Aneesa Haroon is an experienced teacher of English with 14 years of teaching experience in the secondary schools.  Aneesa is passionate about inspiring a love of English in her students, and equipping them with the critical thinking skills required for them to make a positive impact in the world.  For Aneesa, the achievements of her individual students’ hopes and aspirations is the most important aspect of being a teacher and a leader.  The Bloom ethos of “First, Best, Different” speaks to Aneesa’s view of how her education has shaped her own identity and character.

Aneesa completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2006, reading English at Royal Holloway and Bedford New College, University of London. She then went on to study Contemporary Literature and Culture at Masters level, graduating from Brunel University in 2009, followed by her Postgraduate Certificate in Education for Secondary English in 2011, also achieved at Brunel University. Since qualifying as a teacher of English, Aneesa has taught in Berkshire, UK and has expertise in the British Curriculum.

Although, the International Baccalaureate qualification is new to Aneesa, she is looking forward to engaging in a forward-thinking, challenging, cross-curricular, broad and balanced curriculum. Her move to the UAE and Bloom World Academy signals a significant change as a new way of life and new possibilities open up; Aneesa is very motivated and excited for this new phase of her life and career.

In her free time, Aneesa loves gathering her family and friends together to socialise, cooking for them, engaging in lively debate and conversation and exploring new places together.

Sarah Sinclair is a highly experienced English educator with 14 years of teaching experience spanning both Primary and Secondary stages in England and Kuwait. She possesses a strong dedication to teacher development and a deep appreciation for the Arts. Sarah studied in Leicester, England and earned her Bachelor of Arts with Honours degree in 2010. Her teaching career has primarily focused on the English National Curriculum, and she eagerly anticipates integrating the International Baccalaureate (IB) into her pedagogical approach. Two qualities of the IB that resonate with Sarah's educational philosophy are its emphasis on inquiry-based learning and its commitment to fostering global citizenship.

Throughout her career, Sarah has held various leadership roles, including Assistant Head of English and most recently, Director of Literacy. Her highlights include spearheading curriculum development initiatives, coordinating whole-school CPD (Continuing Professional Development), and successfully embedding literacy strategies across a large Upper school. Sarah's leadership has been instrumental in enhancing student outcomes and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within her school community.

Sarah is thrilled about her upcoming move to the UAE with her husband and son, looking forward to the opportunity for her son to embrace diverse cultures and experiences. Outside of her professional life, Sarah finds fulfilment in reading, traveling, and immersing herself in different cultures around the world.

Samantha Novis is a passionate educator from Australia, with experience ranging across both the Primary and Secondary ages. She graduated with a double degree from the University of Sydney, completing a Bachelor of Arts (English), and a Bachelor of Education (Secondary). Having taught the New South Wales Curriculum and begun her initial training in the International Baccalaureate, she is a passionate advocate of the inquiry-based learning that the Primary Years Program provides.

Samantha believes that the PYP's emphasis on creative exploration and expression, as well as its exposure to other cultures and times,  acts as a vehicle for students to wonder, reflect, and consolidate in their learning. As she embarks on her teaching journey in the UAE, she is excited to explore ways to enrich her teaching practice in an international context and find ways to encourage her students to construct a personal and reflective understanding of their own community, environment, feelings and emotions through the arts. 

This year, Samantha is moving to the UAE with her fiancé, who is also a teacher, and is excited to immerse herself in Emirate culture. She enjoys spending time outdoors and is looking forward to exploring Dubai’s beautiful beaches and engaging in activities such as reformer pilates, tasting the local food, and trying indoor skiing for the first time. In addition to her passion for education, Samantha is interested in travelling to new places around the world and learning about different cultures within the UAE.

Tessy Mosindi is a dedicated and innovative Computer Science educator from the UK, known for her passion for teaching and her extensive experience in technology and curriculum development. She holds a PGCE in Secondary Computer Science from Newman University, Birmingham, and a BA in International Politics from the University of East London. Tessy has earned professional qualifications, including National Professional Middle Leadership from Windsor Academy and NCCE - Secondary Computer Science.

Tessy's teaching career spans several prestigious roles, including Learning Manager at the Raspberry Pi Foundation. She has also led the Computer Science Department at Four Dwellings Academy, where she developed comprehensive curricula and spearheaded initiatives to engage and inspire students. Her commitment to inclusive education is evident from her experience as a SEND Teaching Assistant and her leadership at Educating Africa, where she mentors and conducts coding workshops.

Beyond her professional achievements, Tessy is an avid traveler, having explored over 40 countries, and is deeply interested in programming and tech startups. Her passion for technology and education drives her to continuously seek innovative methods to enhance learning experiences.

Tessy’s key message for parents and students is to embrace curiosity and creativity. She believes that every student has the potential to excel in technology and encourages them to explore and experiment with new ideas. She emphasizes the importance of a supportive learning environment where students can thrive and achieve their full potential.

Yesica Ricaurte joins Bloom World Academy as the Head of Individuals and Societies. She has over nine years of experience as a DP and MYP teacher, and a research assistant in the field of Social Sciences. Yesica has been a Middle Level leader since the early start of her career, holding positions such as Head of Department and IB CAS Coordinator, and she has just finished a Master in Educational Leadership in Practice at The University of Manchester. 

Yesica adopts a student-centered teaching approach that emphasizes research and self-management, and the development of communication and social skills. Her educational philosophy draws inspiration from Einstein's perspective that "Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think". Therefore, her classroom is a space for debate, innovation and critical thinking in which BWA students will develop a wide range of skills to grow academically and personally as lifelong learners. 

In 2017, Yesica moved to the UAE with her husband and Dubai is now the place she calls home. Outside of work, Yesica enjoys cultivating a growth mindset through reading, watching documentaries, and traveling.

Erika Da Costa Li is a highly experienced bilingual educator and leader with a passion for teaching Humanities within the MYP. Originally from Canada, this positive and enthusiastic educator holds a Bachelor's degree in Education from Concordia University, Montreal and has taught in Canada, Bermuda and Monaco. 

Erika's teaching journey has been marked by her commitment to pastoral leadership roles, with a specific focus on the adolescent years. She believes in the holistic development of her students and places a strong emphasis on their well-being. Erika embraces the IB Learner Profile, fostering traits such as being knowledgeable, open-minded, and reflective in her teaching practice.

As a family of four, Erika and her loved ones have embraced a unique lifestyle that complements her role as an educator.  Traveling is a family passion and most recently, they spent the year exploring the world, immersing themselves in different cultures, and experiencing the rich history and geography of various regions. This firsthand global experience allows Erika to bring a wealth of real-world knowledge and perspectives into her classroom, enriching the learning experiences of her students.

Throughout her 24 year career, Erika has demonstrated a deep dedication to her students and their education. Her passion for teaching in a creative, forward thinking manner, coupled with her commitment to the well-being and holistic development of her students, makes her a highly respected and influential educator.

Stephen Ratcliffe was born and raised in Canterbury, UK and educated at Dover Grammar School for Boys. Here he gained his O and A-Level qualifications, including History, Politics and Geography, before joining the Merchant Navy. Wanting to further his education, he went on to study History in Liverpool. 

Following his undergraduate studies, Stephen worked on a farm in Queensland, Australia. He then returned to England to train as a teacher of History at the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne. He taught for many years in Newcastle and was both Head of Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. He then worked in South East London as Head of Humanities and Head of Sixth Form. Upon moving to Al Ain in 2019, Stephen worked as Head of History and Head of Careers.

After two successful years at BWA, Stephen enjoys teaching History, while supporting the Grade 11 students. He also has Health and Safety roles within the school and works with the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.

Ibrahim Elbanna is an Islamic education teacher with over 12 years of extensive experience. He began his teaching career in Egypt, where he worked for three years before moving to Dubai.  He continued his work in the field of education for nine more years. He graduated from Al-Azhar University in 2011 with a "very good" grade, specializing in Islamic culture, which provided him with deep knowledge of Islamic teachings, history, and culture.

Ibrahim has worked in many schools across Dubai, with one of his most notable experiences being at Bloom Academy, where he gained diverse experiences and rich professional insights. Known for his great passion for education, Ibrahim believes that teaching is more than just a profession; it is a mission and a responsibility toward society. He is constantly seeking to develop himself and explore new ways to deliver knowledge in an innovative and inspiring manner, making his lessons a unique educational experience that leaves a positive impact on his students.

In addition to his love for teaching, Ibrahim enjoys playing football and has a passion for writing poetry and stories, adding a special touch to his personality as an educator and intellectual who balances his love for knowledge with other activities that enhance his enthusiasm for life.

Huma Deshmukh is an innovative and technology-driven educator hailing from Mumbai, India. With a strong commitment to fostering creativity, innovation and critical thinking skills, she has over 12 years of experience in teaching. Huma holds a Master in Information Technology and has been working in Dubai schools for the past eight years, including four years as the lead for Innovation and Digital Learning.

Passionate about empowering students, Huma works closely with them to bring their innovative ideas to life, utilising exponential technologies such as AI, Robotics, AR, and VR. She firmly believes in equipping students with the skills needed for future jobs, fostering entrepreneurship, and integrating STEAM concepts into the learning process. Huma's proficiency in programming languages and her dedication to imparting computational skills to her students have earned her recognition in the education community.

With a commitment to lifelong learning, Huma incorporates Computational and Design Thinking into her teaching, leading students to remarkable achievements in external innovation competitions. Outside the classroom, Huma enjoys indulging in her passion for reading fiction, sketching, painting, and watching Sci-Fi and Marvel movies. With her unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student growth, Huma continues to inspire and empower young minds, shaping the leaders of tomorrow. 

Steven Wood was born and raised in Birmingham, UK and educated at Queen Mary’s Grammar School in Walsall. Here he gained his GCSE and A-Level qualifications, including Mathematics and Further Maths, before going on to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics at The University of Warwick. 

Following his undergraduate studies, Steven trained as a teacher of Mathematics through the charity Teach First, which supports schools with students from socio-economically deprived backgrounds across England. He taught for nine years in and around the city of Birmingham and was the head of a Mathematics department for the last five years.  

Outside of teaching, his hobbies include playing sports, fitness training, travel and reading Philosophy. He moved to the UAE at the start of last academic year and looks forward to continue his work developing the mathematical education of students at Bloom World Academy this year.

Daniel is a passionate and enthusiastic teacher from Northern Ireland. He graduated from Queens University, Belfast with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics, he then completed his Post-Graduate Certificate in Education in Secondary Mathematics at Liverpool Hope University. Daniel has experience in teaching both the English National Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate Curriculum from his time teaching in Spain, England and Northern Ireland. 

Daniel believes in the importance of building a strong rapport with his students to ensure that each child feels comfortable and fully supported in the classroom. He is committed to ensuring that his lessons are engaging and enjoyable to encourage a love of learning Mathematics within his classroom.

Along with his dedication to Mathematics, Daniel also has a great passion for sports. He has been committed to football since a young age and also enjoys going to the gym to keep fit. Daniel is very excited to move to Dubai and learn more about the culture!

Ilham Najibi knew from an early age that she wanted to be a language teacher. Languages have been her lifelong passion. Throughout middle and high school, Ilham pursued various opportunities to develop her linguistic skills as an educator. She engaged in numerous school-based volunteer activities and spent many summers taking courses to learn new languages, traveling between her hometown of Marrakech, Morocco, and France. Her educational background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in English and French Literature and a Master’s Degree in Linguistics from Cadi Ayyad University.

After mastering five languages, Ilham moved to the UAE in 2012 to begin her journey as a language teacher. Over the past 12 years, she has taught at various International, American, and British schools, gaining extensive knowledge and experience with different curricula. Currently, Ilham is an IGCSE and IB French/Spanish teacher and examiner, as well as a DELF examiner with L'Alliance Française, the French Ministry of Education.

As Frank Smith once said, “One language sets you in a corridor for life. Two languages open every door along the way.” Ilham’s work is rooted in the belief that learning a new language is the key to exploring new cultures and worlds. Her goal is to create academically engaging learning experiences in an environment that fosters creativity, curiosity, diversity, practice, principles, and kindness.

Committed to sharing her passion for teaching languages and being a mother of three young children, Ilham is enthusiastic about working with students of various ages. She has also taken on roles such as Head of Year 9, 10, and 11, and careers advisor for Years 12 and 13. Having experience in both academic and pastoral aspects of education, Ilham looks forward to combining these skills in her role at BWA.

Sophie Letourmy is a dedicated and motivated French teacher from Co. Mayo, Ireland. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in French with Linguistics and TESOL from the University of Limerick, and a Professional Masters of Education from Hibernia College. With two years of teaching experience at a large secondary school in Ireland, Sophie is committed to creating dynamic and engaging learning environments that encourage active participation and a deep appreciation for the French language.

Sophie’s teaching philosophy is centered on fostering a love for languages that extends beyond the classroom. She believes in the importance of making connections between language learning and real-world applications, thereby inspiring her students to explore the beauty and complexities of the French language and aid them in developing a lifelong appreciation for the language and culture.

Outside of teaching, Sophie enjoys exploring new cuisines through cooking, staying active, and immersing herself in different cultures. 

Aylin Durmuş is a passionate and dedicated primary school teacher from Germany, who successfully completed her Master's degree in German, Mathematics, and Sports. Additionally, she is specialized in German as a Second Language (DaZ) and German as a Foreign Language (DaF).

Over the past three years, Aylin has taught various subjects at the German International School Dubai. This experience has given her a deep understanding of the linguistic and cultural challenges faced by students in a diverse environment like Dubai.

To ensure all children participate and benefit from her lessons, she places great emphasis on language-sensitive instruction. Using various teaching methods, she also conveys the German language across different subjects. A practical unit with efficient methods was presented by Aylin Durmuş in her article on language-sensitive physical education in an academic journal by Friedrich-Verlag in 2022.

As a physical education teacher, Aylin loves to integrate movement games into her language lessons to motivate the kids and making language learning holistic as active.

Through her studies in sports, Aylin has been exposed to a wide range of activities. She enjoys both indoor and outdoor pursuits, including practicing yoga, swimming, hiking, and horseback riding in the desert. Her passion for travel began during her stay in Australia, inspiring her to explore new cultures and cuisines.

Amaya Santamaria completed her bachelor’s degree in Philology at the university of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain. She has completed her accreditation as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language and DELE examiner from Instituto de Cervantes in Spain and recently has completed her TQUK Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training. 

Amaya moved to Dubai in August 2008 with her husband and children and has been teaching in international schools since September 2008. She has taught in all year groups both in Spain and in the UAE. Amaya throughly enjoys teaching and creating a strong bond with her students to help them develop.

During her time outside of school Amaya enjoys being active, going to RPM classes, practicing yoga and exploring the world with her family. 

Michelle Schattat is a dedicated educator from Germany with a rich and varied background in teaching. She earned her First State Examination from Goethe University Frankfurt and her Second State Examination from Münster, Germany. Michelle's teaching journey has taken her to Asunción, Paraguay, where her passion for the Spanish language deepened significantly. Additionally, she has taught English and Spanish at several schools throughout Germany, culminating in a rewarding five-year tenure at her most recent school.

This August, Michelle will embark on a new chapter in the UAE, eager to share her extensive knowledge and enthusiasm for language education. Beyond her professional life, Michelle has a keen interest in literature, enjoys hiking in nature, stays fit with CrossFit, and loves traveling to immerse herself in different cultures. She firmly believes that learning new languages opens up new perspectives and enriches the soul.

Michelle looks forward to connecting with parents and students, aiming to create an educational atmosphere that inspires curiosity, cultural appreciation, and personal development.

Ioana is a multilingual and passionate language teacher with a native proficiency in Romanian, fluency in French, Spanish and intermediate levels in Italian, Japanese, and Turkish. Ioana, pronounced Ee-wa-na, has a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies with Modern Languages from University of Essex, UK, as well as a MA Degree in Translation from UCL. Ioana also pursued a Psychology degree from University of Bucharest in Romania, which was very useful when studying for her teaching degree back in London at St. Mary's University. Her love for languages extends beyond the classroom, and she is currently exploring the intricacies of Arabic. In her teaching, Ioana combines her extensive knowledge of various exam boards with innovative techniques to create an engaging and effective learning environment.

In the classroom, Ioana is dedicated to helping her students develop a love of language and culture, while also honing their language skills. Her passion for the subjects she teaches is infectious, and she is committed to helping her students achieve their full potential in French and Spanish.

Outside of the classroom, Ioana is a creative and active individual with a range of interests. She enjoys exploring the arts through painting, drawing, and crafting, and is also an avid boulderer and yogi. Her love of literature and poetry often finds its way into her teaching, helping her students develop a deeper understanding of the subjects.

Tom Golledge is a passionate French teacher with over eight years of experience in the education sector across the United Kingdom, France, and Spain.

Born and educated in Wiltshire, UK, he holds a BA (Hons) degree in International Business Management with French from Northumbria University and a PGCE from Newcastle University. After graduating, Tom volunteered for the British Partner School Delegation and also taught English at the International School Partnership of Hebei Province, China.

In addition to his current role at Bloom, where he has been teaching for one year, Tom spent the last two years as a French and Spanish Teacher at The Ridgeway School in the UK. There, he shared his passion for languages, led co-curricular activities, and prepared students for examinations. Tom believes that inquiry, discovery, and critical thinking are the foundations of lifelong learning and strives to help every student reach their personal best.

Tom is also a qualified tennis coach with a background in semi-professional football. He believes that sport fosters dialogue, unites people, and helps break down prejudice and discrimination.

In his free time, he enjoys hiking and exploring nature.

Brian Munongwa, a Zimbabwean educator with 16 years of experience, has served as the PYP Music teacher at Harare International School since 2018, leaving an indelible mark on the musical education landscape. Brian's approach revolves around fostering collaborative creativity to instill a profound appreciation for music among his students, both within the classroom and beyond. His comprehensive skill set includes teaching diverse instruments, conducting choirs and ensembles, and instructing advanced music technology, encompassing composition and recording techniques using tools such as Logic Pro.

Central to Brian's educational philosophy is personalised learning tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, aiming to stimulate intellectual engagement and ignite authentic passion for music. Beyond teaching, he actively contributes to the school's cultural tapestry by directing music concerts, supporting theatre productions, and leading student groups to participate in prestigious festivals, enriching their holistic development.

Brian's rich international experience as a session musician in various countries enriches his global perspective on music, complementing his proficiency as a music producer in industry-standard software. His upbringing in Zimbabwe and early residency in the UK imbue his teaching with a distinctive cultural lens, aligning his deep-seated passion for music with institutional goals of delivering a comprehensive education. Brian eagerly looks forward to leveraging his cultural richness, expertise, and unwavering dedication to further enhance your esteemed music programme.

Neil Engel, originally from Cape Town South Africa, is a music educator, trumpet player, pianist, composer, producer and singer who is proficient in a number of genres .He studied Bmus jazz at the University of Cape Town. He has a wealth of teaching experience mostly related to jazz and contemporary music for senior High School students as well as tertiary level students. Neil has taught at various High Schools and Universities across South Africa such as Dainfern College, King David Linksfield, Stellenbosch University and Wits University. 

In addition to teaching he is passionate about performing and also composing music across various genres and formats from small contemporary band to jazz big band, to the orchestra. He has composed and arranged music for the Netflix show: ‘Blood and Water’ and for the Amazon TV show ‘Bosch’. He has also performed at the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Hague. 

Artists he’s performed with include: Jazz at Lincoln Centre Big Band, Hugh Masekela, Black Coffee, Maysa Leak (Singer for Incognito) and Katherine Jenkins among others. 

He is extremely excited about being part of an already outstanding performing arts team and to help fulfil the vision and ignite the passion for music performance and education at Bloom World Academy.

Rosa Mendoza completed her Bachelor´s Degree in Music at the University of Havana, Cuba. She completed her accreditation as a teacher of Spanish as a Foreign Language from the well-known Cervantes institute in Salamanca, Spain and recently she completed her TQUK Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training. 

Rosa has been teaching in the UAE for the past 10 years bringing to different schools individual instrumental lessons such as: Piano, Voice, Oboe, Saxophone, Theory, Ukelele and group lessons for different ages. Her innovative approach to music education and integrating traditional techniques with modern digital tools, quickly earned her recognition. Her Spanish classes are equally renowned for their immersive and interactive methods, designed to engage students and foster a deep appreciation for Hispanic culture. Throughout her career in the UAE, she has been organising performances that highlight the rich traditions of both Spanish and Middle Eastern cultures. Her contributions extend beyond the classroom, as she has been involved in curriculum development helping to shape the educational landscape in the region. 

Rosa Mendoza has been an active member of music festivals and community orchestras in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Her diverse musical background includes Samba ensembles, Woodwind Quartets, Latin music, African Drumming, and European Folk ensembles. 

Lara Shine is an American from the state of Ohio and she has always been passionate about the Arts. She finished her ceramics degree in Texas and has been teaching Art around the UAE for the past 10 years, having enjoyed working with a wide variety of student ethnicities and age groups. Her hobbies include scuba diving, playing the saxophone, and making Art. 

Neil Best, originally from the North East of England, he graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with a 2:1 in BA Hons Secondary Physical Education Sport & Dance with QTS. Following graduating he began his overseas career and has been teaching internationally for 13 years across the Middle East, USA and Europe.

With a depth of knowledge in the International Baccalaureate, Neil began here at Bloom World Academy in August 2023 as Leader & Advanced Practitioner of Physical Education and Deputy MYP Coordinator. This academic year now sees Neil moving into the role of MYP Coordinator alongside PHE to continue building on this area within Bloom World Academy.

Outside of teaching, Neil enjoys playing a range of Sport with extensive background in rugby at representational level, football and recreational golf. He also enjoys keeping fit through Running and workout classes.

Charlotte Godfrey is a passionate Physical Education teacher from England, with experience teaching all year groups and a wide range of sports. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Physical Education (BA) from University of East Anglia, and then went on to complete her Postgraduate certificate in Education (PGCE) too. Having taught both Primary and Secondary education in Schools within the UK and for the last two years in Abu Dhabi, she is a dedicated advocate for promoting a healthy active lifestyle. 

She has really enjoyed working in international schools out in the middle east as she enjoys being truly immersed in the foreign cultures while exploring and discovering new places. Charlotte initially found the school intriguing and desired to be involved in its vision. She values the PYP's focus on international-mindedness and independent inquiry, seeing it as empowering students to connect learning to the real world and take meaningful action to enhance their future. 

Charlotte has chosen to move to Dubai from Abu Dhabi for a new adventure and to be closer to her partner who works here too. She enjoys challenging herself to fun sports competitions such as the half marathon. She also really enjoys swimming and playing netball as she loves being part of a team. In addition to her passion for education, Charlotte is interested in exploring the world and learning about different cultures. 

Jack Pierce is an experienced educator and leader from Brighton, England. After studying Sport and Physical Education course at Cardiff Metropolitan University, he pursued his passion for teaching by completing a PGCE at Brighton University. His career then took him to the UAE, where he has proudly spent the last six years enhancing his skills in education.

During this time, he’s led a PE department and earned an NPQ qualification in leadership, behaviour, and culture. This experience has prepared him well for an upcoming venture into the IB curriculum, having previously taught the British curriculum.

Outside of the classroom, he stays active by playing football in the DAFL league and pursues his passion for golf. As a dedicated supporter of Brighton and Hove Albion, he has consistently followed and celebrated their recent successes.

Jack is also an advocate for mental health through sport and looks forward to implementing this ethos at Bloom World Academy, through physical activity and wellness initiatives.

Luke Taylor is a highly experienced teacher from England with four years of teaching experience in Physical Education (PE), Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH). He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Outdoor Adventure Education from St. Mark & St. John University in Plymouth, England. Following this, Luke completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Secondary Physical Education, specializing in secondary education, also from St. Mark & St. John University in Plymouth. Luke has two years of experience teaching the English curriculum for Physical Education and has spent the last two years teaching the IB curriculum at Bloom World Academy in Dubai.

Luke believes that the emphasis on international-mindedness and independent inquiry within both the PYP and MYP empowers students to make real-world connections and take meaningful action based on their learning.

A dedicated PHE teacher with a passion for all things sports-related, Luke also runs the Duke of Edinburgh scheme for the whole school, encouraging students to grow through physical activities, skill development, and volunteering. His favorite sports include rugby, white water kayaking, freediving, and sailing.

Sean Bartlett is a skilled Physical Education teacher from England. With a decade of experience in the educational field, Sean has worked in a range of school environments, from mixed comprehensive schools to top-ranked selective schools, and is dedicated to helping all students achieve their potential.

Sean holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sports Development and Coaching from Southampton Solent University, which specialised in the Football Industry. He furthered his education by earning a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Suffolk.

Passionate about the positive impacts of sport, health, and exercise on society, Sean is driven to motivate his students through his subject and aims to inspire a life-long understanding of the benefits of health and exercise. An enthusiastic sportsman, he actively participates in various sports and maintains a six handicap in golf. In England, he played football in the Non-League pyramid.

Now relocating to Dubai, UAE, Sean is excited to embrace a new culture and lifestyle, and he looks forward to becoming an active member of the Bloom World Academy community.

Chelsea Grekoski is an experienced performing arts practitioner from the UK, studying her BA and PGCE at the University of Cumbria and her Diploma in Acting with the Yorkshire Acting, Film and TV Association. Chelsea first ventured overseas to teach in Kuwait before arriving in the UAE where she has been teaching for six years. Outside of the performing arts, Chelsea enjoys spending time with her children and enjoying the beaches the UAE has to offer.  

Chelsea’s philosophy is that every student may not have the current desire for the arts, but after every lesson they will have the desire and intrigue to learn more. She believes the arts create a pathway for all students into their futures through the fundamental life skills they teach us. The arts allow us to develop skills to relate better to different cultures, situations and contexts, which in turn prepare us for our futures.  

Anchen Müller is proudly South African and has resided in Dubai for the past two years. With a rich teaching career spanning 18 years, she brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the educational field. Anchen holds an Honours Degree in Technology Education and is a proud member of the Golden Key Honour Society, a recognition of her academic excellence and commitment to her profession.

She began her teaching journey in Design and Technology, and as her career progressed, she transitioned to teaching Engineering Graphics and Design (EGD). Subsequently, Anchen launched the introduction of the EGD curriculum at a prestigious school in South Africa and her role as Head of Department allowed her to blend her passion for technology with her love for education and management. Throughout her career, she has also embraced the Pastoral Care role as Head of Grade, where she found joy in guiding and supporting students in their personal and academic growth.

Anchen is a devoted wife and a loving mother to three children, Grayson, Scarlett, and their dog, Penelope. On the weekends she enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the beach, and exploring new places in and around Dubai. 

She believes that relationships are the most important aspect of education. Anchen believes that if there is a solid relationship between teacher and student, students will be more inclined to learn and engage. She is convinced that relationships are the cornerstone of effective learning, and these relationships extend beyond the classroom, shaping students' ability to form meaningful connections throughout their lives. Anchen is excited and committed to fostering such connections at Bloom World Academy. 

After obtaining a BSc in Physics and Sports Science from Loughborough University, Sammy went on to complete a PGCE in Physics at the University of Nottingham in July 2013. Previously, he held the position of Head of Physics at GEMS Founders School Al Barsha in Dubai. Prior to that, he worked at Rashid School for Boys as Head of Physics. Sammy has been teaching for ten years, eight of which have been in the UAE.  

Aside from his teaching career, Sammy enjoys participating in different sports and activities. Sammy has achieved some success in the sporting arena. He has represented Great Britain at the World University Games and the England Students Football Team, as well as the Sussex FA at senior and junior levels concurrently.  

Amelia Davenport has had the privilege of teaching science for the past eight years. For the last four years, she has been teaching in Dubai, where she has worked to inspire and guide students in their exploration of the sciences. Before moving to Dubai, Amelia taught in England for four years, where she developed her passion for helping students discover the wonders of science.

She studied Biomedical Materials Science at the University of Birmingham, which gave her a solid foundation in the fascinating intersection of human biology and materials engineering. Her academic background, combined with her years of teaching experience, allows her to bring a unique and engaging approach to the classroom. Amelia strives to create a learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a genuine love for science.

Since 2022, Amelia has been a part of the Bloom World Academy family, joining the school when it first opened. She absolutely loves the vibrant and supportive environment, which fosters both academic excellence and personal growth. Being part of this community has been incredibly rewarding, and she is proud to contribute to a school that values innovation, collaboration, and the holistic development of each student.

Her experience teaching in different countries has given her a broad perspective on education, and she is dedicated to helping her students reach their full potential, both academically and personally. Amelia is passionate about science and loves connecting with her students, making every lesson an opportunity to inspire and motivate them.

Ana Robertson joins Bloom World Academy as a seasoned Chemistry teacher with 20 years of experience in the field. She holds a BSc in Chemistry and spent a decade working as a Development Chemist for the international company Unilever. After her successful career in industry, Ana transitioned into education and has been inspiring students with her passion for Chemistry ever since.

For the past three years, Ana has been teaching at an international school in Marbella, Spain. She recently moved to Dubai with her husband, excited to bring her expertise to Bloom World Academy. Ana is particularly enthusiastic about working in a full IB World School and has substantial experience teaching both Chemistry and Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) at the IB Diploma level.

Beyond her professional life, Ana has a rich array of hobbies. She has been teaching salsa for 18 years in the UK and enjoys an active lifestyle that includes running, cycling, and swimming. Ana looks forward to contributing to the vibrant academic community at Bloom World Academy and fostering a love for Chemistry in her students.

Faridah Merchant is an experienced and visionary inclusive education specialist, leading the Integra department at Bloom World Academy. With a Master’s degree in Inclusion and Special Educational Needs (SEN) Faridah is deeply committed to championing inclusivity and driving positive change within our educational community.

With over eight years of experience in Dubai, Faridah has a proven track record of developing and implementing strategic initiatives that create equitable learning environments. She excels in building and leading high-performing teams, fostering collaboration, and empowering staff members to support every student’s unique needs. Her approach is analytical and data-driven, ensuring that areas for improvement are identified and targeted interventions are effectively implemented.

Faridah has extensive expertise in working with students with various learning differences. She believes in a child-centered, needs-based approach to education that enhances specific skills and promotes student independence. Her leadership is guided by the belief that if children cannot learn the way we teach, then we must teach the way they learn.

A lifelong learner, Faridah is committed to staying updated with the latest research and developments in inclusion. She is dedicated to transforming educational landscapes and empowering students to reach their full potential.

Outside of her professional role, Faridah is an avid hiker who leads groups of hiking enthusiasts on weekend adventures to explore the stunning trails of the UAE. She finds joy in the mountains and believes that shared experiences help build meaningful connections.

Crisild Mullaji has been a resident of the UAE for 14 years. She brings six years of experience from Kings’ School Nad Al Sheba, where she served as an Inclusion Specialist, supporting children with special educational needs and learning challenges. Crisild is dedicated to working at the child’s pace and establishing strong foundations to foster confident and independent learners. Before transitioning to education, she worked as an Advertising Professional.

Crisild holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Mumbai. She completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCEi) from the University of Birmingham in Dubai, fulfilling her passion and dream for teaching. Additionally, she is a qualified English as a Second Language teacher, having completed her TESOL course from Trinity College, London. Currently, Crisild is pursuing a Master’s degree in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) from Middlesex University, where she has just completed her dissertation on supporting students with Dyscalculia in secondary education.

In her free time, Crisild enjoys reading a variety of genres as part of book clubs. She has a passion for problem-solving and teaching mathematical skills. Crisild also loves watching movies and dancing.

Regai Peter Zata is an experienced educator from Zimbabwe dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students in Primary and Secondary ages. With a deep commitment to diversity and individualized instruction, he has been a vital asset in promoting educational equity Zimbabwe and in the United Arab Emirates. 

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Midlands State University, Zimbabwe, a Registered Behavior Technician license (RBT) from Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB), USA, and a professional license as Qualified Autism Services Practitioner Supervisor (QASP-S) from Qualified Applied Behavior Analysis Credentialing Board (QABA), USA. Over the course of his career, he has accumulated more than four years of experience working in various educational settings, emphasizing collaborative approaches to support students with diverse needs.

Beyond the classroom, Regai engages in hobbies that reflect his passion for continuous learning and community involvement. He enjoys football, volunteering and chess activities, fostering a well-rounded perspective that benefits his students.

Regai moved to UAE in 2016 and is a loving father of one young daughter. He is a passionate member of a society that strives and believes in positively impacting humanity in all what he does.

Yara Semaan is a special needs educator with 10 years of teaching experience across the Primary and Elementary ages in Lebanon and UAE. 

Yara graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education Needs from University of Notre Dame in Lebanon. She is fluent in Arabic (native tongue), English and French. 

Between 2013 and 2024, Yara taught the American Curriculum, Lebanese Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate in several schools in Lebanon and UAE. Moreover, in 2017, she worked with a UN agency as a Special Needs Education specialist. She was responsible for managing the inclusion and SEN departments across 24 schools. 

Teaching has been a passion of hers since she was a student herself. She ensures that students gain skills they need to work independently inside the classroom and in their daily lives and become life long learners.
Providing early intervention is essential when teaching kids with special needs. Yara firmly believes that great educators learn and grow with their students. As such, she is thankful for the opportunity to help young minds develop and flourish.

In 2022, she moved to Dubai with her husband and her two year old son. She and her family enjoy outdoors activities such as hiking and camping as well as sports, including tennis. 

Yara is always keen on honing and developing her skills to ensure she can provide the best for her students. Her goal is to continue supporting and providing students with adequate resources to enhance their ability in taking a more active role in building their own future.

Harry is a dedicated and compassionate school counsellor, teacher, and coach from the UK, with a decade of experience in education. Harry has a strong background in enhancing children’s academic and overall wellbeing, focusing on supporting young people's growth. He is committed to making a positive impact on students' outcomes by identifying individual needs and developing comprehensive, innovative programmes tailored to foster their development. Harry prioritises a holistic approach, considering the unique needs of each student, to deliver personalised programmes that contribute to mental health development and overall wellbeing.

From a young age, Harry aspired to be a teacher of physical education, driven by a desire to bring value to the lives of young people. He began his career in education in London before moving to Dubai in 2017. His passion for understanding people — their behaviours, motivations, and stories — led to further study in coaching, counselling, and psychology, culminating in his current role as a school counsellor.

Harry firmly believes in the importance of continuous growth throughout our lives, regardless of age; however, his dedication to supporting young people remains at the forefront of his work. Harry is currently studying an MSc in Psychology from Liverpool John Moores University, UK, and holds a BA Hons in Physical Education with Qualified Teacher Status from the University of Brighton, UK, as well as various certifications in coaching, counselling, and mental health.

In his spare time, Harry enjoys a flat white, exercising, and catching up with friends over some good food. He is passionate about learning about different cultures and exploring the world with his wife. 

Sarah Maamari is a dedicated and committed psychologist, born and raised in the Middle East. She holds a BA in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology. Trilingual and experienced in both clinical and school settings, Sarah has been offering counselling sessions for students and parenting workshops in the UAE for the past four years.

Passionate about child and adolescent behaviour, the educational system, family dynamics, and parenting styles, Sarah aims to reinforce positive feelings and behaviours in children, helping them lead healthier, happier lives.

Sarah believes in meeting each child where they are, helping them build resilience, develop self-awareness, and learn essential life skills. Her goal is to empower students to navigate their own paths with confidence and compassion, encouraging them to recognise their strengths and potential.

Rosalyn Han is a seasoned primary and secondary educator with more than 15 years of expertise. Originally from the United States, she began her teaching career in Northern Virginia, a suburb of Washington, D.C., and relocated to the UAE in 2016. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary and Kindergarten Education from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, with a specialization in Multilingual and Multicultural Education, from George Mason University. As a lifelong learner, Rosalyn is currently advancing her academic qualifications by pursuing a Doctor of Education in Leadership in Schooling at the University of Massachusetts Lowell.

 
Raised in a Korean-speaking household, Rosalyn has since developed proficiency in Spanish and is actively learning Emirati Arabic. Her diverse linguistic and cultural experiences enhance her ability to connect with students and families. She is dedicated to supporting students in their language acquisition journeys and helping them become confident and effective communicators.

 
Beyond her professional commitments, Rosalyn enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, and ballroom dancing. She enthusiastically seeks out new experiences and cultivates connections through networking. An avid traveler and foodie, she eagerly explores unfamiliar dining venues, especially hidden culinary gems. Rosalyn would be delighted to receive recommendations for exceptional eateries.

Emma Cowan is an experienced Counsellor from Scotland, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling from Stirling University. In addition to this Emma has a range of qualifications and training that enhance her understanding of well-being. With over 20 years’ experience working in education and social care settings, her approach is shaped by the relationships she has formed with children and families from a range of diverse backgrounds and cultures. She has a natural and genuine interest in people, and this is one of the reasons she decided to train to become a counsellor.

Emma cultivates a nurturing and creative environment that aims to encourage confidence and responsibility, focusing on each child's strengths. She is passionate about empowering children to express their curiosity, ask questions and explore the world around them. She practices Person-Centred Counselling, prioritising empathy and personalisation of therapeutic support based on individual needs of children and families. 

Recently relocated from Edinburgh to the UAE with her husband and two teenage children, Emma enjoys family time, supporting her children's activities, and socialising with friends over coffee. She describes herself as down-to-earth and curious, keen to seek out new experiences. Her interests include swimming, walking, meditation, history, and reading, which contribute to her overall well-being and helps her bring a healthy perspective on life.
